Dr. Susan Rai
Post-Doctoral Clinician

Hello! My name is Susan, and I am a Post-Doctoral Clinician at the North Shore CBT Centre, where I provide psychological assessments and therapy

In my assessment practice, I specialize in conducting psycho-educational and psycho-diagnostic evaluations for youth (ages 7+) and adults. I am skilled in administering and interpreting a variety of assessment tools that inform diagnosis and treatment planning. My clinical experience spans multiple populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, addressing concerns such as learning disabilities, ADHD, intellectual developmental disorders, giftedness, and mental health issues. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, ensuring accurate, insightful assessments that contribute to clients’ well-being. I view psychological assessments as a powerful tool for both empowerment and growth.

With over 18 years of experience in therapy, I work with individuals (15+), families, and couples to manage a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, burnout, and life transitions. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore and overcome their challenges.

In therapy, I use evidence-based approaches such as:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Solution-Focused Therapy

Attachment-based Approaches

Mindfulness

Person-Centered Therapy

The Gottman Method for Couples

My goal is to equip clients with the tools and resources they need to foster positive, lasting change. Each session is conducted with empathy and respect for the unique experiences of every individual.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy cycling, soccer, baking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
